Basics
Name: Callie
Age: 2 years
Breed: Mix
Personality: When you first see Callie she will most likely look like a sweet little girl, probably just wandering around innocently. Her golden fur shining in a way that just adds to the beauty that hangs over this feminine figure. She doesn’t look like she would ever cause anyone harm, her body looks more fragile and beautiful than strong or tough, if it looks strong or tough at all.
Yet, you can’t judge a book by its cover.
If you ever meet her, depending on the situation, she won’t be a little innocent sweetheart who drools over you when you march up with some lame pickup line, like some kind of wanna-be hero. She won’t smile and tell you her name, and if she does then she’s probably just studying you before she reveals her rough, unkind personality which most people know her for, if they know her at all. She won’t put up with your garbage, especially if you’re some loser of a guy who’s just looking for a good time and someone to poop out their offspring, like they often are, at least the ones she meets. As far as females go she won’t tolerate them, and although she will tolerate more with them than with males, she still angers easily with anyone she meets.
Friends? She has none, she’s a street dog through and through, and it’s every dog for themselves on the street, at least in her book. Would she ever want a friend? Depends on the dog, most dogs who’ve only seen her only see her outside, which looks pretty and nice, and those who’ve talked to her have seen her rough, unkind personality. Yet, is there more to be found in her? That’s for you to find out.
History: Callie was born on the streets, raised by two strays and as soon as she and her siblings were old enough they were abandoned, left on the streets to live and provide for themselves. Although it wasn’t uncommon for a mother to abandon her pups when they were at a certain age on the streets, it was a wonder any of the pups survived. Only two, actually, out of the litter of 5 did survive. That’s Callie and her brother, who she very faintly remembers.
Then, at the age of 1 year and 4 months, she met a dog who would change her life forever. His name was Damian, and he was the ‘love of her life’. He wasn’t like most dogs, who all pranced up trying to impress her in some way, no. He wasn’t even a dog. He was a wolf. She’d never met a wolf until that day, and despite the stories of how they kill any dog they see he did not kill her. No, they met and it was love at first sight, so to speak. Exactly how they met, I’m still not so sure. Either way, they met, and for around 5 months they would sneak out and met right outside the city limits, and though you wouldn’t think it from her personality she’s a very romantic sort of dog. Loves that sort of thing, loves to tease, and all that good stuff.
Then, one day she went to meet him and he never showed up. Why? She was never sure, but the most probable explanation is that he was discovered by the other wolves. As most dogs know, wolves and dogs are not to breed, though they never did produce any offspring. It is probable that he was not allowed to see her again, or worse, killed. Whatever the punishment, he never returned. Sometimes you’ll find her wandering around on the Hidden Trail, looking for him with the faint hope that maybe he’ll be there. Ever since she’s closed herself off from the world, afraid to love again, or even open herself up the slightest bit, she’s convinced that all things are out to hurt her. She’s not meant for happiness.
